If you are looking for some contract work, then I would suggest contacting the company directly rather than posting on iHub. You could make your sales pitch to the company as you best see fit.
I have no idea if the CEO "would like to meet [you] and clear the air." What is your past history with him, if I may ask? What "air" are you looking to clear?
BTW: I doubt "popping by the plant" would be your best approach at seeking contract work. Has the unannounced visit approach to the CEO worked for you in the past? Better than submitting a bid? That would surprise me, but what do I know?
