Its well knowned by song writers that a path to becoming a hit requires more than a good singer and lyrics, but that a "hook" must be obtained by the listeners while playing the song. The meaning of a "hook" is when most everyone that hears the song can latch onto a phrase that will constantly echo in their mind long after they listened to the song, thereby creating a "feeding" to take higher and higher the demand for the song.
