I respect you ThaiGuy and we all get to have our own opinions HOWEVER, just to be clear... Just how long then; re: weeks, until it is a lie? Never, when MG is old and gray? Will there ever come the time it is a lie?
The truth is that when a person says weeks it means WEEKS, else they say months or years or at some indeterminate time in the future. That is a fact when using language, any language correctly and especially when you are NOT trying to mislead people. If he used the words as you defined it then he was clearly trying to mislead investors and shirking his responsibility for his failure during his tenure. And fail he did. I would have forgiven the failure, even after all his bluster and BS over the years, had he been honest about it but he was worse than any about that.
Using your definition, if MG meant it that way, then he was clearly trying to mislead people and duck responsibility.
MG, as we ALL know, considers himself to be a TRUE COMMUNICATOR! He believes that he converses in a manner that is straight up and to the point. He believes he is highly educated and certainly believes he is in the know and knows how to talk to people effectively communicating facts and truth! By the way he NEVER did either! Always sidestepped and always evaded!
MG knew for sure what he was trying to communicate and he choose his words carefully (and did for the almost year and a half). You can bet he re-read what the PR stated many times and had Bev proof read it too, ensuring that it's content was to the point and correct in every facet! He picked those words for real reasons for sure NO DOUBT!
Thus, at the very best he knowingly was trying to mislead investors and (my assertion) he Lied.
Now the truth in this case will be forthcoming because there was either a BOD that he transitioned this too or there was not and if there was then they too will one day have to go on record as such (with date of taking over clearly identified) and if there was not then we will know because the they will not have to resign at some point. By the way, the term BOARD OF DIRECTORS is plural and certainly means more than one person thus there are several people who now have control, again according to MG, clear cut and he stated that succinctly, BOARD OF DIRECTORS!
One way or the other it will be clear and I will certainly apologize if I am incorrect however... TOTAL SILENCE for the period of time in question is ABSERD at best, irresponsible reprehensible at worst.
By the way... How does one person pick a NEW Board of Directors in a public company? The answer is that they can't, not leagally!!! As far as I know MG (even with Bev's shares) is a minority stock holder, BH, MF and several other having dar more shares! MG and Bev could not have leagally created not turned this over (unilaterly) to anyone, this is a PUBLIC COMPANY!
