OK Kia, this is all I can find on the T of ford after 30 minutes of surfing........ It is far from easy to separate a man from his creation, and one should not attempt to do so. Tin Lizzie, as the Americans affectionately called the Model-T, was the fulfilled dream of a farmer's child, a self-taught mechanic, who became a leader because he "put the world on wheels."

re: what did the designation "T" stand for in Fords "Model T"?

Simple alpha progression:

Earlier model cars = Models A, C, F (same chassis)
Models N, R, S (basically same chassis)

Model T designation retained throughout this chassis evolution.

It took about 1 minute to find that the "T" = Touring.

Put "Ford Model T" in a search engine and you'll come up with:
Model-T Club ( http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/1909.htm )

Then go to their Encyclopedia for the history, etc.
