I don't know how much in house counsel is involved in these matters (vs. outside firms that help with the IP) but none-the-less consider his bonus a bargain.

At this point, the mid to near term, I don't know whats more valuable their characterization technology or their legal skills!

Bruce Leicher had a total compensation package valued in the mid $900k's for 2010. His base was in the mid $300's so he did receive substantial bonus.

What I found unusual was that the extra bonus was not only for a trivial amount, but that it wasn't given at a time when others weren't compensated. How about the inventors or researchers who did the actual work?
