#102023 RE: mahatmapaul #102022

No telling what Nafe's exact intentions are but, he's been associated with Harrs and Brown a long time. My feelings are that if it is walking along side a known duck, and quacking along side a known duck and always seems to pop up in the company of known duck when the known duck is performing shady dealings, it's probably a known duck. He just watched a couple rank amateur grifters blow a tremendous opportunity to get rich because they were greedy and stupid. I am certain it could be possible he feels given his skills, he could do a much better job of milking D&D. Look for him to sit on the business until all the "i"s are dotted and the "t"s crossed and maybe take it public again. The thing you have to bear in mind all the time is, no one can make decent money in that business. No one. It's just impossible for them to compete at all in the cabinet business and the margins in the display business are razor thin...far too little to keep a guy like Nafe and 15 of his employees happy. So, now that we have eliminated building displays or cabinets at substantial profits as a financial incentive for re-starting a failed disaster like D&D, what's left ;-)? Crank up the printing presses boys...it's going to be a bumpy ride.....

mahat.....Nafe knows his way around the "grant" and distressed property game.

IMO he MOST definately is taking advantage of the situation.

After all....he "bought" the Shaver Street facility from JD.. collected enough rent by my calculations to recoup roughly 65% of what he paid for the facility....JD skimmed the rest via Wilkes Holdings IMO.

IMO...I think Nafe will take the Grant money ... I do not think Nafe will sink any of his own funds into making the former D&D Displays a viable entity...he'll bleed whatever grant money he can con the County out of...then cut and run.....much like he did in Indiana with the former Meredith Hotel...I believe he let that go back via back taxes to avoid paying certain clean-up fees.
