#3601 RE: tradeawait #3581

I would say:

Kodak became a binary stock. It sell it's portfolio and you will see it in the pps. It doesn't and it will need money, expensive money, and it will take another year of selling departments, and tuning the business around the new good working parts.

Many people would like this to fail for different reasons. The competition in the pro-print business, in the digital camera a competitor less in these times of crises is a competitor less, the patents are wanted but the actors will all try the strategy giving them the highest change of getting them no matter what.

For Google this may be not making the first bid, for Apple manoeuvrings to keep the USICT from reaching a verdict and raising obstacle-delay as much they can, for Microsoft buying the company because Gates has already a lot of shares and the pps is ridiculously low, for Samsung, HTC, ASUS and other cam-based phone/tablet/notebook/laptop builders making a groups offer, for Motorola (Google) completing their already strong communication patents portfolio with imaging patents knowing that multimedia will be more and more the data to transport certainly if we'll start to video-phone now that the device allow it.

There is for sure a lot of manipulation behind the screen, disinformation, rumors, etc. That is what makes it more and more difficult. Black boxes trading at lightning speed, no match for the super equipped trader behind multimillion dollar equipment let alone the traders at home. E-zines putting the lesser educated people on the wrong foot resulting in unexpected pps movements deviating from the underlying facts, SEC that is no longer in control of the markets and can't even control shorting/lending in a decent way resulting in unseen intra-day naked shorting as a pps manipulation tool, the influence of politicians in the regulating and controlling agencies, corruption in general!

Kodak is worth more then it's pps. So in case of BK they bring about 3-4$ meaning the stock is cheap. In case of patent sell the price will go higher (because they have 10K other patents and 2K pending ones that will then also receive an intrinsic value) and they have a good business model with the pro-printing. SO the last thing needed is this last transition step.

As I said, binary: they make the transition or they don't!
