That is a good point, the Oct flury and apparent stock promo that went down with it is the dirt we're interested in. I think Howard needs to undo the share retirement PR if that didn't actually happen. The other stuff can just evaporate as far as I'm concerned...
Speaking generally, as with all these promos, I suspect the CEO is cornered into doing dirty deeds. But these can blow over. As long as the SEC doesn't get involved. All holders can do is hope it blows over. Sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't.
