Even if what you are saying is true.....

if you think about it, it doesnt have much face validity....

The depository, DTC, and the oldest of our clearing subsidiaries, NSCC, were both created in response to the paperwork crisis that developed in the securities industry in the late 1960s and early 1970s. http://www.dtcc.com/about/history/



When I spoke to TD Waterhouse staff on several occassions they informed me that it would be "most likely" that SFIO would never be unlocked or take 10-20 years. They said its completely normal for a DTC lock to last 20-30 years and one man said he had seen this happen more often than not.



The DTCC's only been an entity for about 40 years...how many 20-30 year cycles has he seen? And, at what point did they actually begin "global lockdowns" as a policy...was it day 1 or was it 10 years ago...I dont know...do you?
