This is double-edged and is arguably more of a negative than a positive. I.e., if the cosmetic result of a Laviv procedure is unsatisfactory, the patient is stuck with a bad face for several years. This is one of the reasons Sculptra has had very limited commercial uptake despite its being a technically excellent product.
