One thing for sure, Ironridge does not have to sell SIAF shares in order to pay off the creditors.

They have a large fund of money to be deployed for this type situation. They make a deal, and they realize a return in the way they see fit; in this case, maybe shorting at first if legal and not prohibited in the agreement, maybe selling some acquired shares locking in a small profit, or maybe doing nothing, waiting for a real payoff.

My guess is that they are doing/will do the later for very substantial majority of their shares, particularly now that they are virtually guaranteed to get the full allotment, a circumstance that the skeptic in me says they had something to do with.
