nope its always been better than 50-50 odds, the gambler's ruin however depends on how many times they play the game, one big bet that rides is the only way to go, at some point, there will be a last investor to get in cheap, those that got in earlier may be able to benifit much more

In the telecom race to "convergence" they've been cooperating, trying to drug the only possible winner... and the jockey, instead of trying to maintain position, keeps trying hard to reign the horse in... not "saving it for the finish", but, for turning him around, trying to make him run the other way... hoping everyone but CLYW will win by default... or, by default judgment, if possible.
