After 9-1-1 (lay-off),I didn't go back and worked again for AMR as an AMT (my last A&P job)...I have some closed friends still working @ LAX...now having sleepless days (Swing shift Union Jobs) since the Company filed for CH11...One of them just got his Recall notice a few months back...
I Spent about 8 yrs of Schooling/Training in Aircraft Maint. & Eng'g,Electrical,Electronics and about 20yrs working in 23 different Aerospace Industries and Aviation Companies!!!
I started Trading in the Dot.Com days, late 90'S when I was working with GE fixing Turbo-Fan Engines, was a great easy money job averaging 75k-/yr back then...until the Company shutdown the repair facility and moved our jobs to China...
It's a Turbulent Job working with the Airlines...unless you are with LUV,(employee first)the company that never had a Lay-off history in 40 years!!!
Not too late for U to start Learning...what I am Doing now!!!It's a great Retirement Hobby and a Good Paying Job too every trading day....
