#933 RE: POKERSAM #928

Poker,

I think the good Dr. meant that the narc initially has low self esteem but doesn't know it, then the narc proceeds to cover it up with their dog-and-pony show with the net result that it makes them feel good about themselves. I wouldn't find any argument with that.

The bottom line is that I would not trust any "expert" who gives a short video along with a few steps to define a serious psychological problem. If she had any good sense at all, especially for someone who has studied psychology, she would have known that such a short, simplistic video could easily cause more harm than good.

The problem now is that there are a lot of psychotherapist experts around iHub because they watched the video then followed that up with a few internet searches for the rest of their higher education. Now they think they know it all. Now that is a great example of a narcissistic tendency, and that short video flick was the start of it. That's what I mean by her actions resulting in damage.

People who seem to always think of themselves as being really good people, usually aren't. That's just my opinion and may have little truth in reality.

Troubled people, if they are aware of their problems, will typically blame everyone else for those problems while always giving themselves all of the credit for all their good outcomes. Another one of my philosophies which could be all wet.
