The biggest problem is they seem to think they are above the law. The perversion continues and the keep hiding those perverted ones....They belong in jail or in a place to correct their problem.
That is all

Sarai, you may believe anyone you choose. Accept nothing that I or anyone else on a computer thread might say. Do your own exhaustive study.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him (Thomas) "I am the way, and the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me."

I don't know how the Pope's pronouncement could possibly square with that verse. It is nonetheless not my job nor that of the Pope to act as gatekeeper to heaven. We will most certainly leave that decision to the Almighty.

Jesus claimed to be the fulfillment of the OT prophecy of the Messiah. No one has succesfully refuted that. Moreover, had he not been the Messiah, how could any "cult" have survived, even thrived, for over 2000 years?

Earlier you asked me why there was so much enmity between Christians and Jews. While I denied that true Christians were at the root of this I can tell you what Jesus said on the matter of the persecution of Jews:

Luke 21; vs 20-24: "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then recognize that her desolation is at hand. The let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains and let those who are in the midst of the city depart, and let not those who are in the country enter the city; because these are the days of vengeance, in order that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babes in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath to this people, and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."

This tribulation continues.

sarai....

Why?? The Pope is just a man like the rest of us, no more holy or gifted than anyone else, and one who holds many beliefs that are contrary to the clear teachings of the bible and therefore in error. The Bible is the only arbiter of doctrine, and in any area that its teachings are clear, there is no room for debate. Even the most cursory knowledge of the history of the Catholic church should quickly dispel the notion of any supposed "Papal Infallibility" as nonsense. The Catholic church is based on a faulty interpretation of scripture where Peter was given the keys to the Kingdom and Jesus, speaking to Peter, said "upon this rock I will build my church". Peter himself was probably never considered "the" head of the church during his lifetime.

The worship of and praying to Mary, the mother of Jesus is nothing but idolatry, plain and simple, and an abomination before God (Thou shall have no other gods before me). Mary was not sinless, she was a human being like the rest of us - probably better and more devout than most, and certainly blessed by God, but not sinless and certainly not God. The Biblical definition of a saint is anyone that has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. No mere man (or priest) can forgive sin, only God (or Jesus) can do that. The Catholic church has many beliefs and practices that are wholly against Scripture.

When in doubt about biblical doctrine, do not turn to any man - go to the Bible itself and search out the truth.
