I think that the company is paying a consultant via stock, so this is the reason for volume in the morning. Slight dilution that won't affect the overall direction of the R/M.
The afternoon volume was somebody that was too impatient and wanted out. Possibly to use as tax loss to offset some end-of-year (total) gains. You will see a lot of stocks being sold in the next week or two for this purpose.
