I am not sure you can make a comparison. Rambus is in the middle of many seriously technical lawsuits that are quite complex and require substantial expertise.
AMD's litigation, on the other hand, is more akin to a great big humongous "Slip and Fall" where it doesn't appear much legal expertise was deemed required.
It is less related to the intricacies of Interference With a Business Relationship and more related to the actual speed with which the ambulance is traveling, so to speak.
But perhaps I have o'er shot my mark, here.
