2) Seeking an extension in time to file its answer shows weakness by Intel.
ROFL. Thanks for your considered opinion.
the longer this goes on the better it is for AMD.
AMD's suit has more to do with PR outside the court than action within it. The longer this goes on the more the general business and public audience loses interest (presuming they were even aware of it or cares).
I would think it both obvious and reasonable that Intel would ask for an extension to reply. Given your previously stated belief that AMD has been preparing their complaint thoroughly for months, if not years, I would be surprised if you would not agree. This is only the first of the delays in the proceedings that Intel will achieve.
I am not impressed with Intel's legal counsel in Delaware (Potter, etc etc). Their lead attorney lacks the experience & gravitas IMHO. Still he's only there doing appearances at present. In terms of experience in antitrust matters this firm is way down the list.
That is because AMD's case is so weak, it requires THE BEST legal team. Intel on the other hand, can use the three stooges to win this one.
Seeking an extension in time to file its answer shows weakness by Intel. Better would have been to attack the pleading IMHO.
Thank you Perry Mason...<ggg>
And as always I try to back up my opinions with a link:
