Allied appears to be a middle man supplier. Its highly unlikely they were doing well. Allied catered to the hobbyist so not huge money there. I would expect that they never manufactured anything but rather bought from one supplier and sold to another person. The only difference in their product would be that the manufacturer slaps the Allied stamp on there product. Pretty common in today's world but not usually a huge winner.

Odds are that Sunergy was interested in the concession but I doubt they really care about the distribution side. It will be interesting to hear at some point whether the warehouse was owned and what size it was. My money says it was small and a lease so there were no actual assets from the Allied purchase outside of the concession value.

As for how they got their hands on the concession, well that may never get told. Allied was not a public company so that information does not need to be disclosed.

SCUBA: Every PR on the matter focused on the SL concession... I for one would be pissed if I learned that wash pans/gld grabbers and were the play here... This is a non-issue.

The concession in SL was/is the play here - period. Show me otherwise!
