Hi Deb, yes Apple is $$$ , but according to Orin, well worth it. Orin just scratches his head at all the problems I have over time with my Computer. I am on my 3rd one since 1998. My current Gateway is about 6 yrs old. It sounds like I have a CD in it just spinning away, loudly, all the time. It takes me 5 seconds or so to change a page, and that on a good day. It takes about 5 min's or more, to go from totally off, to getting connected to the Web. I think it's day's are numbered.... {:>(((

Yes, Apple's more expensive. But better. Usually.

After I heaped praise on mine Friday, I awoke Saturday to find it... dead. Turned it on, got the preliminary screen with the apple and the spinning wheel. Then it should have quickly booted. But it didn't.

On Friday night Word crashed twice. That was odd, but I didn't have any trouble getting it back, and so thought nothing of it.

So now I've got a problem; I don't know how severe it is. Must call the Apple store, but am dreading it. Posting from my phone is getting old.
