Aggree, the mobility platform probably has been in the works for many years, it's what a robot company does. However, IRBT's healthcare division was only established in October 2009 so in two years they have developed a marketable device as opposed to 14 years with GOSY. Imagine what additional features will be available when it hits the market next year. Also, using an off the shelf I-Pad is genius IMO so as the technoloigy grows, so does the AVA's capabilites.

Also, writing Iphone apps is a realtivily simple process to create and communicate with other wireless devices and adaptable sensors.
