Right because companies not publically traded don't advertise and make news announcements.

According to this the company got its trading symbol in September 2007:

However, this shareholder does not care if there were no results from a sales and marketing campaign done in 2006.

This is 2011 and the company is still in operation and doing well, IMO. There is a lot of new information on their website (www.geckosystems.com) along with recent press releases showing progress.
