Scientists have determined that our Sun is a star that was formed about 4.6 billion years ago. Moreover, they find that the life-cycle of a star like the Sun, indicates that a warming phase will "soon" begin and gradually intensify over the next 5 billion years. Unfortunately, this warming phase is expected to have boiled away all the Earth's atmosphere and water and life over the next 2 billion years:
Moreover, in approximately 5 billion years, the Sun will enter its deadly RED GIANT phase. As a RED GIANT, the Sun will expand until it has a diameter about 250 times larger than its current diameter, and it will incinerate and devour the Earth.
