#55914 RE: WHITTENHALLJR #55913

Great points, great post!

I agree that the emerging ecig industry will be large enough to offer many private and public corporations market share and each product will probably be able to fill a niche market.
I think over the coming years, tar cig smokers will gradually transition to electronic cigs. Some will stick with vapor and others will want the vaporless. I definitely think there is room for all types of products.

There will be competition but the corporations of whom own the patent for the technology used will certainly have the advantage IF those patents hold up in court (still yet to be seen, take a look at what is going on right now with Dragonite and the ecig companies they are suing on patent infringement).

Yes, thanks again to jake19 for providing images and info about the newly revised RE/AL product, much appreciated. At first glance, I like the redesigned usb charger/adapter; it is smaller and more tidy. I like the redesigned packaging. The red/bold '340' degrees stands out better and the 'SMOKEREAL' brand, even though rather plain is much better than the quirky R/E/A/L insignia (which I never really understood as a logo). Of course, the 'SMOKEREAL' text could be jazzed-up a little bit more but it is still better than before. Also I like that the 'smokereal.com' url address is printed on the box; much better than the SFI corp website because every consumer will know exactly where to buy (accessories, filters, etc).

I agree, let 'Njoy pave the way', exactly. SFI can simply allow these private ecig brands to be the first wave in the worldwide marketing campaign for ecigs which will build awareness and a consumer base for the product; let them spend a lot of money on marketing at first. Then SFI can blast onto the scene with their new product and all the heads will turn. I think it is a good overall strategy, especially when considering that this company is running on a shoe string budget. I really am glad to hear that the test market was a success and that the company followed through with real positive changes for the product, listening to consumers and investors alike. It would have been a major misstep if they would have hard launched the product with its existing bugs. Now if indeed the newly redesigned ecig has all the kinks worked out then it will be ready for mass production, landing huge distributor contracts and fulfilling them will yield a higher rate of success, not only in revenues but in end consumer satisfaction; which will yield greater customer retention (which is actually key to ongoing revs via monthly online refill orders).
I think though that the company can mostly rely on signed distributors to put up much of the capital for advertising as long as the contracts are structured in a particular way. This company is a manufacturer of a device, thats it, very simple; sign large contracts, mass produce, build inventory, send product in bulk to distributor(s) then reap rewards (profits).

The chemicals in the substrates for the e-juice ecigs are another matter. Even IF designs are made to make certain that there are no harmful chemicals in the substrate used, the conception in the minds of consumers will be the assumption that there is still a risk of breathing in potentially harmful carcinogenic chemicals. This makes me think that consumers will really grow to be comfortable (mentally as well as physically) with the use of the RE/AL because they will know that only warm air along with ONLY the actual nicotine particles itself are consumed.

Let us hope Roth and company provide us soon with news about what efforts are being made right now to land distributor contracts and what work is being done to attempt to get the resumption of clearing/settlement services back in affect. I really hope that this company can and will move forward because the potential for the product is so great, it would be a shame for the industry, shareholders and potential customers if this product did not have the possibility of seeing the light of day.
I think this product could change the world, just IMO.

Looking forward to the review of the redesigned RE/AL, thx!
