I wasn't always a fan of dividends in common stocks. I had my "income" portfolio and my "growth" portfolio and didn't expect much of the opposite component in either portfolio.

It was a study I started back at the beginning of the New Millenium which got me interested in understanding the dividend function of Total Return.

Or, maybe it's just that I'm getting older!!!
