I think that was your original antecdote about dealerships. Can I ask what price range we are talking about?

The one advantage JMIH presumably has is they are selling very high end boats. When you are selling a toy that retails for a minimum of 200k you are dealing with people with alot of discretionary income.

Its always possible boat sales in that range could soften but I think it would reflect general economic conditions rather than fuel prices. I think the best comparison might be are top end hummer sales dropping due to fuel costs.

If you can afford to spend up to 300 350k on a toy I just don't believe you are going to be concerned if it costs you 15 bucks extra to take that thing out on a saturday.
