I think they have reason to be nervous. No shareholder in their right mind is going to relinquish their control of any company directly to a "committee" of "yes" people.
It is better to be able to have a say in what they can and cannot do.

Very important to send any revokations as Aronld and Ilene posted previously. Send them registered mail with return receipt so that it has to be confirmed as having reached its destination and the proper person it concerns.
