#1270 RE: Torqputty #1269

Torqputty - The Buy Blocker is to try and prevent you from buying long at the start of a potential Phase 1. I'm not saying they will totally prevent you from getting stuck in a long position, but I believe they can help you in what could be a ripple effect in all timeframes. Depending on where we are at in the long term cycles, a 60 min Phase 1 could be the beginning of a Bear market, now if the long term cycles have been in a Phase 1 for a long period of time, then the short term Buy Blockers can get you in at a good entry price.

If you use the Buy Blockers in all time frames, I believe they can guide you through the maze. If you look at the 60 min Data Sheet and look at the cycles where there is no X in a Buy Blocker column, those were probably good times to buy at the 60 min level.

The most damaging Buy Blockers would be the Monthly & Weekly when those are activated, I would probably recommend establishing a short position to hedge the downside.

The reason I established the Buy Blockers was I got caught holding the three SSO long positions that are currently in the SPX Cycle portfolio. If the Buy Blocker component of SPX Cycles was in place at that time, and if I would have followed my system, I would not have been holding those three positions today.
