If you recall, Kat was not going to do the PDAC in 2010 either, but when they got the personal invite from a major they decided to attend at the last minute AFTER that major set up one-on-one meetings with them. Not only that, but Kat packed up and went home early as well. Certainly not the actions of a company in desperation, I'd say.
