Good point. I suspect the RKT deal was negotiated long before RKT entered the recycling biz with the Stone Smurfit acquisition. Notice how the SS deal with JBI was a referral deal, not a plastic processing one. Then the RKT deal is a "pulp and paperboard ragger" deal, not a recycling one.
My thinking now is that the delay in getting an addendum announced is related to a disconnect between JBI (thinking monofills) and RKT (thinking ragger).
Last we heard the premelt was almost complete. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest it sounds like it may be complete considering they hosted a Senator 3 weeks ago and a tour after that and both parties claimed to have seen the bad boy plant in operation.
