Not always, as some are called up by hired promoters who are totally amoral in their dealings with others.

Stock promoters who sometimes are former stock professionals, and others who get people to invest in stocks they should never invest in, and would never have heard of those stocks if not for their actions.

Argue with FINRA if you wish about that, as well as the SEC.

Let us know what they told you on the matter.
