LOL. No, here is my trading of TVIX over the last week and a half....in @ $75, out @ $64. In again at $56 and.....still in (currently at about $37). The worst week and half I've had in a long time. I figured I might as well stay in today - it's gotta go back up tomorrow, right?!
There was a two week period in in July of 2000, I made a little over $30K in a biotech. My wife and I were about to buy our first house, so I was going to use some of that 30K for the down payment. I tried one last trade and lost about $4K in 5 minutes. I walked away with the remaining $26k and didn't look back. It sucked, but it did feel too bad because I still made a nice chunk of change during that two week span. This last week and half feels much worse. I keep doubling down thinking the market has to retrace. NOPE, best two weeks in the market ever! I will try to get out tomorrow.
