HIF-1a inhibitor plus AI, timeline:

Nov? '02-----Kerbel, Folkman paper notes AI's may work synergistically with HIF-1a inhibitors.

April '03-----Paper- 2me2 shown to inhibit HIF-1a

May '04------Paper- Radiation and HIF-1a link. Radiation and HIF- 1a inhibitor improves results. (radiation has been shown to have AI properties)

June '05------Study announced to test Chemo-HIF-1a link and treatment with Panzem (2me2) in humans. Docetaxel (chemo) has been shown to have strong AI properties.

There was a complete response in a early trial with a panzem ( old formulation trial) taxotere combo..Now a panzem NCD /taxotere trial is planned...great news.
