Are you connected to him (James Briscoe) on LinkedIn by any chance? E.g. do you know who he is connected to? Or is it the the quantity of connections you refer to?
As far as that is concerned, Larry Liang is not doing bad at all either.
But in the end I feel it is *who* you know, not necessarily *how many* you know. Then again, the more people you know, the bigger the chance is the person you need to know to get the ball rolling is among them.
