So far the Thumbs Up to Remove as Off Topic leads the way.
I'll check back later and tally up the replies/votes.
I hope we see a majority of the CGFIA Board users reply on both sides. The more replies we get gives a better feeling of how we all think. Would rather to remain impartial on the subject.
You have my support on this Seig. A leading question meant to bait a flamewar does not follow the spirit of the TOS.
A good time to remind everyone that a deleted post is not a lifetime felony; however, if you choose to add to the dogpile don't be surprised to see a post or two gone. Think of it as a wake up call to read the Handbook.
Not sure--but if you are refering to me I have not read the yahoo board in months--they are my own thoughts---if they match up then bad for me huh???? I got a good answer from 567 and appreciate that 567--maybe progress is being made I sure hope so-thx
Maybe my own paranoia thinking you are referring to me but seems sorta strange the posts after my legimate questions and been on this board forever----------------grizzz
I have to agree on the off topic idea. As mostly a tertiary source, it's almost completely invalid to include anything from the yeehaw board here. I'd like to see many more primary and secondary sources here, with discussion staying on topic to that data. Thanks for doing this Seig! I've been hoping someone would spring clean this board for a while, now!
I am in agreement with you BURKHARD! I am tired of constantly answering poster's questions about the rantings from the other side of reality. The postings should be treated as "hearsay" and deemed off topic. JMHO
Projections based on early results suggest that using this IHUB CGFIA stock specific message board to report what is being posted on the Yehaw board will be considered "Off Topic" and removed.
Be patient as we give more time for others to have the same opportunity to agree or disagree.
A decision will be stickied for future reference sometime after the next trading session.
What we are referring to is when someone posts such as this example: "I just came from the Yahoo board and they say you guys..." or "The Yahoo people are really annoyed with the pumpers here" or "Yahooers are saying very bad things about......". Those are the type of posts that will be removed as "Off Topic".
I'm sure many here are smart enough to differentiate between a post being off topic and that of relevant CGFIA information or DD.
Freedom of speech does not apply to those type of baiting comments that have nothing to do with CGI or its stock CGFIA.
Regular users will need patients and refrain from replying to such posts and give the Moderators time to do what needs to be done or they too will have their posts removed. No need to argue or debate such comments as they are irrelevant in content.
If IHUB users don't agree with this majority approved action they can always go to the Yehaw board and post their opinions there.
Simple concept that will help keep this board clean, on topic and with time become a regular CGFIA board axiom.
