I suppose. Chip sales may take a hit, but it'd stir the competition i'm sure. Sammy makes the whole internal house from refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, cooking ranges to clothes washers/dryers to TVs etc etc. Mobile tech is not their only niche. Apple makes cell phones and macs.
Sammy produces their own chips as well. They don't really need Apple to make any of their devices. So if they cut ties, they'd have no probs producing their models. On the other hand, Apple sure would scrambling (mostly likely) back to Taiwan.
I know that'd never happen, as they both make too much $ in this co=operation deal to care about something like hah. cheers!
