Your opinion is mostly correct except that when a stock begins to get hyped, there are plenty of those who will go by TA. For example if they see a huge surge in volume with little pps movement upwards and more news comes out, they will jump all over it. That is just one example and there are more, but my point is that there is a subset of traders who do go by TA, so it does play a role, though it may not be a significant role. OK
