Just for a second assume this is a scam (WE do not know as of yet, one way or the other), do you realy think calling unknown involved parties will get them to say: "yes we are scewing you and hope you enjoy it".

I still can't buy into the motives you attribute to pual ... but I have to admit that his "selective objectivity" is a mystery to me. He seems to sink his teeth into a point of view and doesn't know how to let go of it ... and somewhere along the line he seems to have picked up the idea that no useful information can be obtained from management.
Why he would prefer to make erroneous assumptions ... instead of asking for valid information ... and then use the fruitless result that comes from having made the erroneous assumptions in his decision making process is beyond my comprehension.
Maybe it is a cultural difference and that is just the way things are done where he lives ... or maybe it is a seasonal thing and he is suffering from seasonal light deprivation or something. LOL
