AJ: Ha, well I probably bored the crap out of many. Glad you enjoyed it though. But with respect to pitching, there were limits as to innings pitched and it is a good thing (though it should be balls pitched instead). If you google reserach it under "little league elbow" you will see many articles from professionals about how many pitches per week one should throw per game and week. It seems that Tommy John surgery is very common these days for kids in their teens because they throw too much. You see, when we were kids baseball season lasted for a few months. It is now a nine month thing if you choose to play every option presented to you. Most coaches in my league don't understand what is at stake if they throw their guy too much. They want to win. But the risk is there and the stakes are huge as far as that kid's arm goes. You should not play through pain in the elbow or shoulder at that age because the arm is not fully developed. You should not throw anything more than a fastball and change-up until probably 14-15 years of age imo.
