This is the new age of business. Old business models, while some still work very well, are not the only ones that work. The internet has changed a lot of things. Some companies are still learning how to leverage it. Some business people are stuck in the past and can't change. I think you should try to open your mind to other possibilities and give David's plan a chance. His way is to leverage the internet is through social interaction. If something is cool, interesting, or will save people money on stuff they buy, people will go to the site. Nobody knew what "going viral" was ten years ago. Now we do. Sex videos of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian went viral and are largely responsible for their success. Now, I'm not saying that Net Savings Link has near the appeal of Paris Hilton or Kim K, but it could go viral on a very small/limited basis, which would make it hugely profitable. Just people telling their friends about it could kick it in gear and start bringing in big profits. In a sense, traditional advertising is top down. By that I mean, the management tells the consumer what they want the consumer to know and they shape their perception of it. They control it all. In the new age of advertising and social media, success comes from the bottom up. Average people tell their friends about something and before long everyone knows about it and stores that sell it are mobbed. That's the beauty of the new model. You can make 100 of an item, put it in a store in SoHo, and if it is sold out in a couple of hours, it could become the next big fad, no advertising necessary. People vote with their wallets and then everyone tells everyone. There is an old saying. "Word of mouth is the best advertising". That used to apply to small businesses. It can now be applied to large ones as well. Yes, if you like Net Savings Link, you should tell your friends. I am.
