"Is there enough non sexual, exclusively gay content or gay perspective programming to last very long?"

I think there is. Gays are humans, and there are always new interest, hobbie, ideas, news, that goes with every group of human beings.

Take Chinese for example. There are asian channels, my mom watch it all the time. Are there going to be enough chinese content for the channel to continue with it's programing? Of couse there is.

But I do agree with you that quality is most important.

You just mentioned the biggest problem Q currently has in my opinion. Viacom had to pull a channel to get LOGO on the air. This says to me we are looking at about a year to getting on a carrier unless LOGO is a big hit then we will see Q get a channel quicker.

I think a gay network is needed just so the content is more accesible to all gays versus the limited and stereotypical stuff we see on normal TV. My own perception is there will be at least 4 channels. A pure movie channel that shows only gay movies, the hip young channel that pushes the boundries of good taste, the old sophisticated channel that is right down the middle of the road, and the music channel.

Is there enough african american content to support an all black lifestyle channel?

Oh yeah, I forgot..........BET!!! You probably sounded deep and profound in your head......but wound up being quite baseless. Nice try though.
