I will create the list of all the things they stated they would do and have done. Don't have time now because it is a lengthy one. However, in regards to this: "they have enough funding to last through Phase 1 trials, Phase 1/2a if combined."
The company has always been up front about the funding and length of time money currently the treasury would be exhausted.

Here's one for you: Please find me one other biotech startup that has spent less than $300K a month for 6 years and has 5 drugs finishing animal testing. Every other biopharma I know of burns ten times that. Show one biopharma that has even one drug nearing an INDA on only $3 million a year.
