Paulness, I really don't know how this kind of thing works but I have the same suspicions that they play around first and only announce the official agreement after they have achieved encouraging preliminary results. Just as likely, however, the reality could be otherwise, just as stated. Perhaps the legal agreement had to first be in place before ANY work could be done. Who knows? I had the same thought with the HIV sequence they bought the rights to, that they tried it first. If our suspicions are correct, then all these press releases about studies beginning are actually more encouraging than they sound. For things like this, however, perhaps we can't expect the market to understand and appreciate this possibility. But that' OK I guess. Eventually, if it is as good as we suspect, it will become known.
