TruBud1, yes it is discouraging, to say the least. There is hope. Hang in there. I'm in a similar boat to yours, but I am 61.

TruBud1, I think almost all of us have broke one or two of the rules of investing. We are emotionally involved. It's difficult not to be, particularly when you do the research and decide to "adopt" this orphan company! I don't think you said anything that we all haven't felt over the last few days.
At least no fist fights broke out, so, no harm, no fowl. (Or should I say offsetting penalties all around.)

I know that it is a difficult thing to face what you are going thru, personally, and wish you all the luck in the world. I have been in your situation, out of work for extended times, bills piling up and no end in sight. And all you want to do is work and provide for those around you. IT SUCKS!
I wish I could offer you more than my words of encouragement.
I pray for your good fortune, and most of all your good health. Do not let this beat you. The stress can do bad stuff to you. (voice of experience here)
Take care friend, and have faith in yourself. We need your voice in the chorus of the good guys. (I include everyone in that group)
Good luck to us all!

In the same boat TruBud1.

I am 53, been in product management in Telcom industry for 25+ years.
The company where I worked was acquired and relocated. I haven't been able to sniff a decent job since them. (2.5 years).
