I had a feeling that this would be part of the deal. Goldman Sachs would basically own a large part of the mortgage insurance industry. I don't study GSachs, but I wonder if they are purchasing industrial/commercial and residential property as well. If so, they would have an in-house ability to insure their own lease and mortgage contracts. Interesting. Now, to deal with the Arizona regulators...
