Apart from more immediate recognition of the co.'s value on an Asian exchange, there is another reason to press forward actively on this front and that is that the very dire economic situation in which the Western world finds itself. A complete collapse of the stock markets in the US could lie before us, which might represent an insurmountable obstacle for SIAF in terms of recognition and valuation. In such a scenario, I would expect Asia to be affected less so than the West. I don't mean to be alarmist, but it is something to think about at least.

Stockwise, I could not agree more. I said the same thing in an earlier post:

The last thing we need in today's environment is a reverse split. Qualifying for the NASDAQ can wait. Let's earn our entry by a steady gain in share price with solid fundamentals.

Nearly EVERY reverse split negatively affects the shareholder. The price almost always goes down. It's the last thing we/SIAF needs. Let's go up the old fashioned way.....by company results...not by artificial means......Patience!!!!!

NO REVERSE SPLIT please! I've seen this so many times: a pink sheet stock or Bulletin Board stock passing audits, passing SEC registration, and then become impatient, reverse split the stock to trade on Amex or Nasdaq, and from there go all the way down...
Examples? NEWN, BSPM, LPH, GURE,...

They all trade far below the initial minimum PPS which they only achieved by a reverse split. Shareholders lost money big time.

World economy these days is not too strong, markets reacts frantic... why on earth would you reverse split right now??

Really, I prefer a slow but steady price increase over time as SIAF businesses mature. After a few succesful Quarter reports, it really won't take long before our darling would achieve a minimum PPS for a listing on a 'big' exchange, WITHOUT reverse split.

Again, I would prefer an Asian listing (higher PE and thus better for us shareholders).

agreed, and I don't believe this is under consideration by the company, just a few impatient shareholders who think it's the panacea to their problems.

to those losing patience and looking for a quick flip, feel free to sell and move on. Short-termism will only frustrate you with this investment.
