I spent a fair amount of time looking at SmartPhones this past summer with some friends and we cam away with sticking with our dumb phones. The phones are expensive as are the data plans.
But, hey, maybe they'll run Metro and sell for $1,000 and be able to run Microsoft Word on a four inch screen.
I actualy had one person argue with me that they preferred their phone over their laptop when writing their book. The person has written at least one book, and he likes to be fashion-forward when it comes to electronics. And I think he may like to be able to say he wrote a book on his phone, rather than because it's actually more convenient. But he *argues* that it's more convenient, which sounds a lot like FPG, so I guess there are all kinds in this world....
But I'm with the other 99% of the population who can actually get more work done on a laptop. Like I said to FPG, we'll have to see how things play out, and whether his usage models represent the broad market. :-)
