Market makers process orders and facilitate trading by making shares available when necessary. They do not have a fiduciary interest on behalf of or obligation to shareholders.
They make money whether you win or lose by collecting the difference between the bid and ask also known as the spread. MMs love high volume but do not care whether it is up volume or down volume. They get theirs regardless.
They do not give a hoot about individual investors.
Let's clear this up, we are all here because we have similar interest, right, to earn money and to communicate with other same-feeling people, so IMO MM's are playing out there with similar goal, to earn as much as they can. Conclusion: no need to worry they'll make things right, it;s up to us to make key decision
