Apparently you have missed that some of us are not buying in to all the rumors.

Totally unsubstantiated rumors about impending buyouts and deals occur regularly on stock message boards. I;ve seen a very large number of them and have never yet seen a single one that "popped the stock" even significantly, much less "beyond imaginaton". Rumors happen all the time and IMHO all but the most naive of investors give them the credibility they merit: next to none. When news also happens it's the news that raises (or lowers) the price, not the rumors.
