#16702 RE: Chae #16701

Can I quote you on this?

I plan on touching base with Martin this week to see how things are going with the testing. From speaking with Mark Peele ( VP of R&D)I know that there are still modifications needed on the voice systems and internet/ video capabilities. The entire shell or look of the CareBot is not in the form they would produce. This would be streamline and the open area with the moving sensors would be covered.

As far as funding, I think they are needing about 250K to continue short term/ initial testing and probably another 500k for initial ordering of the official in home trials later this year. If they had their wish, I get the sense the limited testing will end during the first QTR, modifications made and an order placed for 30 or so for six month in home trials. Now, along with the 30 would need to be a promise of a follow up order as well. I don't think a large manufacturer would just create 30 of these things due to costs associated with set up and testing. So, orders would have to be in place numbering upwards of 500 or so. I have been told yesterday that they have orders pending, but they are not happy with the current model, so the current in-home trials are helping to fine tune the model. Also, i think funding is an issue) Now it is possible that the manufacturer comes on board as an investor of the initial order, but who is that? Don't know. A medical devise company could look at this as an opportunity to be the first to market with these and be able to offer cost savings to GOV agencies and independent companies at a time when the health care debate is all about costs.

I still think, and let me say, i am not educated in this area, that there could be an opportunity with GOV funding. If Obama is so set on passing this health care bill, would they be interested in creating funding for a cost savings product? Not sure how all that works.

In the end, I guess they need about 250K to get through initial testing and modifications to have a usable model ready for production. We need more investors and a heavy buying volume to drive up the PPS and stop the naked short selling through NITE. I think if they can stay aggressive and moving forward through the middle of next year, the pent up demand that Martin is always talking about, will reveal itself.

So who wants to step up with 250K? :)

2 years later and we're still $250k short. And still 1308 investors? What's Marty tell you these days? You still talk to Mark Peele too? Fill us in on your correspondence with the CEO. I don't mind sharing mine.
